What is uGuideMe?
What is uGuideMe?
uGuideMe is a mobile phone application that allows users to download and use multimedia-enriched guides of worldwide attractions including museums, parks, zoos, etc. on smart phones like the iPhone. While the initial launch of uGuideMe targets the iPhone, later versions will target other mobile platforms including Blackberry, Google, Palm, etc.
How does it work?
uGuideMe allows members to create their own guides using our Guide Creator software, on this website, and share them with the community-at-large. Anyone with the phone application can then download the Guide and use it at their favorite destinations.
How do I build a Guide?
To build a Guide, you use our Guide Creator software which is part of this website. It's really easy and takes very little time once you know what you want to build.
Who can build Guides?
Anyone. Build a Guide of your favorite golf course, favorite ski runs, favorite bike trails, directions to your house. Guides are limited only by your imagination. Check out existing Guides by looking on this site.
What is a Partner Attraction?
Partner Attractions represent Zoos, Aquariums, Museums and other institutions who create "Official Guides" for their venues.
What's an "Official Guide"?
Official Guides are put together by our Partner Attractions, and are full of professional media content that provide a fun, entertaining, and educational way of visiting your favorite destinations. If you don't see your favorite venue here, feel free to tell them about us.
How much does it cost?
The uGuideMe application is just $1.99. Yup, it's cheap, and once you have the app on your phone or touch, you now have access to all of the Guides on the uGuideMe site, including our Official Guides at no extra cost.
How much does it cost to build a Guide?
Nothing. That's right, you can build as many guides as you wish and post them for free.
So you're saying that for $1.99 I'll have access to every Guide on your site?

After I make a Guide, how do I download it onto my phone?
The first step is to download the uGuideMe application from the App Store. Once you have the uGuideMe application on your phone, you can then access your Guide through the application from our webserver and download. After that, you're ready to go.
How do I share the Guide with my friends?
First, make sure they've downloaded the uGuideMe app from the App Store. Then, simply tell them that it's available. All they need is your name, or the Guide's name, and they can search and download it through the uGuideMe application. It's just that easy.
